In Arizona, WECA offers a federal and state-approved Commercial Electrical Apprenticeship program and continuing education classes for Journeyperson electricians.
In Utah, WECA offers a federal and state-approved Commercial Electrical Apprenticeship program.
WECA additionally shares its expertise by producing curriculum products and publications for the industry.
Job Description:
The Workforce Development Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Workforce Development Staff and other Association Staff as needed.
Prepares materials/room set up for meetings as requested; data entry; DAS140/142 physical and electronic files and otherwise relieves management of administrative details.
Association Needs:
1.
Provides administrative support to the Apprenticeship Staff.
2.
Prepares materials for meetings as requested.
3.
Prepares meeting rooms as requested.
4.
Processes Apprenticeship Applications 5.
Processes Apprentice intake and testing information.
6.
Processes Apprentice applicant withdrawals.
7.
Maintains student and DAS140/142 physical and electronic files.
8.
Responsible for continual improvement of processes and recommending changes to Policies and Procedures.
9.
Responsible for T-shirt inventory.
10.
Processes Apprentice Monthly Time Cards 11.
Participation in staff functions and meetings.
12.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Workforce Development Supervisor, Assistant Director of Apprenticeship, or Chief Operations Officer.
Client Assistance:
1.
Understands WECA's Apprenticeship programs policies, processes, procedures, Standards, and Rules and Regulations.
2.
Promotes the association's apprenticeship program.
3.
Assists with the mailing of Apprentice materials.
4.
Participates in any assigned Customer Service Training.
5.
Properly research subject prior to communication with clients.
6.
Responds to client needs and inquiries in a courteous and timely manner (ASAP, but within 24 business hours).
7.
Follows through on client requests and/or inquires, and in general, strives for an outstanding client satisfaction rating.
8.
Composes letters as needed.
9.
Documents client requests and/or inquiries and escalates based on need.
Knowledge, Skill and
Experience:
1.
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).
2.
Knowledge of common office equipment operation (copiers, mail machines, etc.
) 3.
Attention to detail.
4.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
5.
Friendly, professional and helpful attitude.
